In July 2011, twenty-five youth and adults journeyed to Colombia for another life transforming experience.  We visited the programs we had been supporting through our Designated Ministry. We met single mothers with very little who were thankful for their blessings. We met children with disabilities who had been shunned by their parents, but who, at the True Vine, were being treated with kindness and being shown the love of Jesus.  And we saw with our own eyes the difference being made by Ascension’s support. Upon returning to Edmonton we gave several presentations about our journey at Lutheran churches around Alberta.
